Food and nutrition tracking
Build a food diary you can understand and review
A food diary connects the foods you enter with the quantities and meals they belong to. A calorie counter then adds the recorded values. Mendrise keeps those entries and daily totals together, alongside water and weight records, so you can see what your diary contains rather than relying on a single number.

Start with the food and its quantity
Find an item in the food library, search a packaged product by barcode or enter its details manually. Check the name and nutritional values before adding it. A barcode identifies a product; it does not confirm how much you ate. Portion size and the units used in an entry affect its calculated contribution.
- Check whether values refer to 100 g, 100 ml or a serving.
- Enter the quantity you want to record and check the serving description.
- Choose the date and meal so you can find the entry later.
Read meal totals alongside the diary
Mendrise groups food entries into meals and shows daily calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat. Review the ingredients and quantities behind a total when something looks unexpected. Water and weight tracking add separate records to the same app. A daily total reflects logged entries; it cannot account for a meal you have not recorded or correct an inaccurate portion automatically.
Review optional AI estimates before saving
AI food search, meal-photo analysis and meal-plan suggestions are optional tools with access and limits determined by your plan. A photo can produce an estimate of food and portion size, not an exact measurement. Review the result, adjust the food or quantity if needed, and confirm what enters your diary. AI suggestions are general information, not personalised professional nutrition advice.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between calories and macros?
Calories describe an energy value. Macros here are protein, carbohydrates and fat. Mendrise displays their totals from the nutritional values and quantities in your recorded foods.
Do I need AI or a subscription to keep a food diary?
Meal, water and weight tracking do not require a subscription. Optional AI tools depend on the plan and the usage limits shown in the app.
Is the nutrition app available to download?
Mendrise is being prepared for iPhone and Android. The website shows Coming soon for the App Store and Google Play until publication.
