Workout planning
Turn your workout plan into a useful record
A workout planner describes what you intend to do. A gym log records what you actually complete. Keeping both in one place makes it easier to prepare a session and revisit it later, without rebuilding your exercise list or relying on memory.

Prepare the session before you start
In Mendrise, you can build individual workouts and organise them into programs. Browse the exercise library, view available images and videos, and arrange the exercises in the order you want. Your plan stores the entries you choose; it is not a prescription for how much you should lift.
- Give the workout a name you will recognise in history.
- Enter planned sets, repetitions, loads and rest times.
- Review the exercise order and edit entries when your plan changes.
Record each completed set
During a strength workout, record the repetitions and load for each set and mark it complete. The rest timer helps you follow the rest time you entered. Pause the session when you need to interrupt it. If a saved session is recovered after the app closes, it returns paused so you can choose when to resume.
Read history in context
Finish and save the session to keep a record of completed work. When comparing workouts, check the exercise, units and recorded sets rather than looking only at a total. A heavier entry or a longer session describes that record; it does not, by itself, establish better technique or a more suitable routine.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a fixed weekly program?
No. Mendrise supports individual workouts as well as programs. You can keep a session available without assigning every workout to a particular day.
Does every exercise have demonstration media?
Images and videos appear when they are available for the selected exercise. Check the exercise name and the media together before using the entry in your workout.
Can I download Mendrise now?
Mendrise is being prepared for iPhone and Android. The website marks its App Store and Google Play links as Coming soon until the app is published.
